ZLATNIK, druzstvo umelecke vyroby

Zlatnik Ostrava
in its original legal form was established by the entry to the Companies Register of the Regional Court in Ostrava on January 6, 1951 under the name of "ZLATNIK, lidove druzstvo zlatniku a rytcu, registered limited liability partnership in Ostrava".

The primary business of the original company included production and sale of the golden and silver jewelry and repairs of clocks and watches.
In the 1960s the company expanded its activities with the manufacture of electric equipment and metal products and established cooperation with leading companies of the former Czechoslovakia (Branecke zelezarny, ZPA Krizik Prague, Tesla Roznov, Zbrojovka Vsetin, and so on).

A major turning point in the development of the company occurred after 1989 when a transformation of the partnership took place pursuant to Act No. 42 of December 21, 1991. Zlatnik Ostrava - druzstvo umelecke vyroby thus acquired the legal status of a business entity associating the private owners who decided voluntarily to conduct production and trading activities.
